The everyday problem
A polished screen can show a completed task without revealing the work required afterward. Staff may still have to copy information, verify a result, or notify another team. These downstream steps are easy to miss when a demonstration ends at the most impressive moment.
A practical approach
Follow one example beyond the visible output. Ask where the result lands, who reviews it, and what triggers the next action. Request an exception example as well as a successful one. Record anything described verbally but not demonstrated.

Choose a fictional task and follow it through three consecutive handoffs in the demo. Note every point where someone must leave the demonstrated system.
